Full oil tank removal plus an electric water heater swap. The tank leaves the premises; drain-only is gone.

02When can NYSERDA / EFS be used?

Only on qualifying decommissioning jobs through Con Edison Clean Heat. Non-decommissioning jobs cannot use NYSERDA / EFS.

03What payment baseline should the 30-minute close use?

The homeowner’s full-year gas or oil bill divided by 12, not a winter-only number.

If solar is pending inspection, HVAC permits must be pulled before install or violations can start at $8,000.

02What refrigerant condition blocks keeping existing units on decommissioning?

Existing 410A units must be replaced even if functional; R32 units can be kept and registered if recently installed.

03What rooms must be covered for Con Edison approval?

Any room with a door and a bed needs a unit unless the bed is removed or covered to show non-sleeping use.
