Service area
Sunny is a NYC-licensed HVAC installer. Most deals are in the five boroughs and lower Westchester. Anything outside that gets evaluated case-by-case — but Sunny’s stance is to support installs wherever you sell.
“Trust me, we love money. We want the installs.” — Jonathan
Where we install today
Section titled “Where we install today”| Region | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| NYC boroughs (Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island) | Default operating area | Permits in 1–2 days. Full Con Edison Clean Heat rebates apply. |
| Yonkers / Westchester | Operating with capacity check | Permits 2–3 weeks when permit capacity is active. Confirm current master-electrician / permit availability before selling speed. Set the install arrival window 9:30–10:30 AM (drive time). |
| Long Island | Operating with fee | $500 destination fee. No Clean Heat rebate — Long Island is on PSE&G, not Con Edison. Site survey usually skipped. |
| Upstate NY / unusual locations | Case-by-case | Contact Jonathan first. Add $500 destination fee to your pricing. He’ll confirm scheduling and approve. |
| New Jersey | Not yet | Coming next |
| Connecticut | Not yet | Coming next |
| Massachusetts | Not yet | Coming next |
Long Island — the rebate gotcha
Section titled “Long Island — the rebate gotcha”Because Long Island is PSE&G, not Con Edison, the Clean Heat program doesn’t apply. That changes the deal mechanics:
- No decommissioning rebate — sticker price equals the financed amount
- No NYSERDA financing (which requires Clean Heat)
- Often no site survey needed — direct to install, no rebate paperwork to verify
- You still install — homeowners can buy the system, just without the incentives
Price these deals knowing the homeowner is paying full sticker. They tend to be simpler than Con Edison deals — fewer moving parts, faster to close.
Outside-jurisdiction deals — the workflow
Section titled “Outside-jurisdiction deals — the workflow”If a homeowner is somewhere outside the standard service area (e.g., far upstate, Poughkeepsie):
- Call Jonathan before quoting. He’ll confirm whether scheduling can support it.
- Add the $500 destination fee to your sticker price.
- Wait for written approval before signing the homeowner.
- Standard install workflow from there.
Sunny supports installs wherever you sell. The destination fee just covers the logistics overhead of the longer drive.
Why we don’t run Jersey / CT / MA yet
Section titled “Why we don’t run Jersey / CT / MA yet”Each new state requires a new licensed entity, separate permit relationships, and crew expansion. Sunny is licensed in New York. Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts are next on the roadmap. Until those go live, decline these deals or refer them out.
